Viduranga Y. Waisundara

Dr. Viduranga Waisundara earned her Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from the Department of Chemistry at the National University of Singapore in 2010. She began her academic career as a lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore (2009–2013), before returning to Sri Lanka to lead the Functional Food Product Development Project at the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (2013–2016). She has also served as a Senior Lecturer (Temporary) at the Department of Food Technology, Faculty of Technology, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. From 2019 to 2025, Dr. Waisundara was the Deputy Principal of the Australian College of Business & Technology – Kandy Campus, where she played a key leadership role in academic and administrative development. She currently engages in independent consultancy and lecturing assignments. Dr. Waisundara is also the Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI) Ambassador to Sri Lanka, actively contributing to international dialogue on food safety and standards.
